Ryan Frazier Earns Endorsements Of Two Major Area Organizations In Race To Unseat Democrat Rival
Wheat Ridge, CO - March 2, 2010 Ryan Frazier recently won the endorsements from two leading trade associations: The Rocky Mountain Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) and Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC). Collectively, these two groups represent thousands of working families and business owners in our area.
The Rocky Mountain chapter of the Independent Electrical Contractors represents 140 contracting companies and over 10,000 working families. The Associated Builders and Contractors have over 175 members, many of which are companies that employ anywhere from one worker to several hundred workers associated with the building and construction trade. The struggling economy is seriously affecting members of both organizations. The associations claim that many small business owners are worried that 2010 will bring more lay-offs and job losses due to a lack of work on the horizon. The economic reality has influenced the decision of the organizations to endorse Ryan Frazier this election year.
Mark Latimer stated, “The livelihood of the workers represented by Associated Builders and Contractors relies on a healthy commercial construction industry. Over the past few years, our members have experienced tough circumstances in these trying economic times. Ryan has always been an advocate for the interest of all working men and women. Our members are confident that, as our next U.S. Congressman, he will represent workers who are striving to keep their small businesses viable. He recognizes that our members are vital to helping create the jobs that Colorado desperately needs.”
Terry Moreland, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the IEC expressed similar sentiments, “We need someone who will take our country in a new direction. We have to do the right thing for families – including my members -- who are struggling right now to put food on their tables because of the state of our economy. Many of our member companies are becoming increasingly afraid that they will have to close their shops in 2010. Ryan has his finger on the pulse of what’s important to our membership. I can sincerely say that IEC’s Rocky Mountain Chapter has found a true advocate in Ryan Frazier…and that’s why we are endorsing him so strongly.”
The ABC endorsed Frazier officially on January 26th; the IEC’s endorsement was confirmed just a few days later on February 1st.
